Q. How do I know if I qualify for your program?

Our program was created to help people of low income receive high-quality spay/neuter service for their pet(s). You will need to call our phone line to be evaluated for eligibility

Q. My pet is in heat or may be pregnant. Can she still have surgery?

Yes.

Q. My cat has a litter of kittens that are still nursing. Can she have surgery?

Cats with a litter can have surgery once the kittens reach 8 weeks of age.

Q. Do you schedule appointments?

Yes.

Q. When do I need to come?

Times will vary.  The person scheduling your appointment will let you know.

Q. Do you keep my pet overnight?

No. All pets must be picked up the day of surgery. Before leaving you will be given a slip of paper with the day’s exact pick- up time. The pick-up time will be the same for everyone for that day and you (or a person you send) must be there at that time to avoid being charged a late fee.

Q. I don’t live in Whatcom County. Can I still come?

At this time preference for service is given to owners who live in Whatcom county.

Q. I have a giant breed adult dog. Can I bring it?

We can often make special arrangements. Please call ahead.

Q. Is there an age limit or other requirements for surgery?

Yes. The staff will be happy to discuss this with you during the phone interview.
